The State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan transferred 1,110,360,000 manat to the state budget in 2008, compared to a projected 1,110,000,000 manat, the committee reported on Jan. 7. The transfers during this period exceeded figures for the same period in 2007 by 338,350,000 manat, or 43.83 percent. Forecasts were met by 100.03 percent. In January-November 2008, Azerbaijan increased goods exports by 760.16 percent or $41.5 billion, compared to the same period in 2007. Total exports amounted to $46.9 billion. Goods imports increased by 25.65 percent or $1.4 million to $6.4 billion. During this period, Azerbaijan performed trade operations with 140 countries. A total of 2,070 various goods were exported from Azerbaijan; 5,700 varieties were imported into the country. The total trade turnover for January-November was $53.4 billion.
