Azerbaijan Insurers Association to hold workshops for company managers
Azerbaijan, Baku, Jan. 7 / Trend , U.Ismayilova/ "Azerbaijan Insurers Association (AIA) intends to hold trainings and workshops for market players [especially for insurance companies' managers] in January," chief coordinator of the AIA training committee, Azergarant company's deputy chairman of the board Shukur Huseynov said on Jan. 7.
"The topics of the trainings have been submitted to the AIA Supervisory Board for approval," he said.
Huseynov said the key topic of the trainings and workshops would be legal framework approved by the Azerbaijani Finance Ministry on the basis of the Law on Insurance.
AIA was established on Dec. 29, 2006. All insurance companies operating in the country are the members of the Association. The AIA Supervisory Board includes five Azerbaijani insurance companies - MBASK, Standard Insurance, International Insurance Company, Azersigorta and Ateshgah.
When creating the Association, one of key directions of its activities was to establish a school of insurers which now regularly holds trainings for employees of insurance companies. Last training was intended for actuaries. They were issued international certificates.
