Georgia, Tbilisi, Jan. 8 / Trend , N.Kirtzkhalia/
Georgia's economic growth was 4 percent the first nine months of 2008. GDP was $9.5 billion during the period, the Georgian Economics Ministry reported.
The data indicates a sharp drop in the country's economic growth rate due to the Georgian-Ossetian conflict in August and global financial crisis.
According to the ministry, the economic growth rate dropped 4 percent in the third quarter due to cutbacks in the construction industry.
