Small part of 141 complaints made to Azerbaijan's tax bodies in 2008 was false, Elchin Mammadov, head of department on taxpayers' service under the Tax Ministry, said.
"Each complaint was considered and most part got confirmation. False complaints totaled small part," Mammadov said.
Warnings were made to those tax officials of whom citizens complained and actions were taken on this occasion.
In 2008 totally 319,439 appeals were made to telephone service under the Tax Ministry, Mammadov said. Of them 251,995 appeals were taken by an operator in Azeri, Russian and English languages. Employees of the Ministry directly replied the rest calls.
