The price for crude oil produced by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) showed little movement on Wednesday, closing the day slightly higher at 40.71 dollars, the cartel announced Thursday.
One barrel (159 litres) of OPEC crude rose by 0.03 dollars Wednesday.
OPEC calculates an average basket price based on 12 important brands produced by its members, reported dpa.
