Georgia, Tbilisi, Feb. 5 / Trend , N.Kirtskhalia /

Nika Gilauri, a candidate for Prime Minister post presented the state program at a joint meeting of the Committee of Industrial Economics, Economic Policy and Budget and Finance Committee. After that, a member of the Christian Democrats Guram Chakhvadze explained why a parliamentary minority did not support the government plan.

The program does not reflect systematical approach to existing problems. Thousands of people stay behind the social program, insurance should apply to every citizen of the country, assistance should be provided in the form of pensions.

The project envisages no limit on monopoly in Georgia. The prices on products are increasing, while the prices are decreasing in other countries on the background of the global financial crisis.

Chakhvadze paid a specific attention on security issues and touched upon the sale of the Inguri hydroelectric power station. The Ministry of Energy did not allow the minority to familiarize with the memorandum on the station. The Ministry explained its refusal as commercial classified information. Chakhvadze noted that the Ministry is prohibited to carry out commercial activity.
