Baku land market cheapens

In January, the prices on the secondary housing market in Baku dropped by 2.8 percent up to 27,670 dollar, MBA Group consulting company said.

The most expensive land plot was offered in the amount of $410,000 per 100 part on the market in Nasimi region of Baku, the cheapest one in the amount of $340 per 100 part in Surakhani region.

An activity was observed in Badamdar, Shikhov, Masazir, Bina, Buzovna, Mehdiabad, Balajar, Zikh and Novkhani settlements.

Market's activity was retained due to business in the secondary zone. Roughly 707 hectares of land was offered within a month, out of which 63 accounted for empty land.

Seven percent of land plots accounted for new constructed buildings, and 31.2 percent for old collapsed apartments.

In January, no growth of portfolio of offers has been observed due to weak activity.

The average term of exposition of land plots increased by 1.8 percent up to 255 days in January.
