The European Union Friday said it was making a further 2.7 billion euros available in aid for countries of the Asia- Caribbean-Pacific (ACP) regions, dpa reported.
The money was to be used for health, water supply, climate change and peace maintenance projects.
The extra funds, announced by the European Commission, were on top of the 14 billion already set aside by the EU's European Development Fund for ACP countries in the budget period up to 2013.
