Azerbaijani processing centre Milli Kart not to decrease activity of cashless operations

The Azerbaijani processing centre Milli Kart will not cut the number and turnover of cashless operations in terms of the global financial crisis, Milli Kart Executive Dirctor Jalal Orijov said.

"The number of cashless operations and turnover of plastic cards, emitted by clients of the centre were not reduced in terms of the crisis," Orujov said.

There is a slight reduction of activity due to holidays in the country. However, this tendency carries a seasonable character. The activity will stir up and will retain stable within a year.

"We are looking for the result of business-plan and say slight reduction in the activity of cashless payments," Orujov added.

The centre will increase the number of active plastic cards from 120,000 to 200,000. The number of ATMs will reach 300 and POS-terminals to 3,500.

Founders of Milli Kart are the Azerbaijani Industrial Bank (AIB), AtaBank, Azerdemiryolbank, Bank Standard, Bank Respublika, Texnikabank, UniBank, Azer-Turk Bank, Bank of Baku, Debut, Amrahbank, Xalqbank, Kredobank, Azerbaijani Micro financing Bank, Parabank, Rabitabank, Turanbank and Zaminbank.
