The average salary was 61,378 tenge in Kazakhstan in January 2009, a 12.7-percent increase from 2008, the Kazakh Statistics Agency said.
"The highest average salaries are in the financial sector at 130,800 tenge, mining sector at 106,800 tenge, real estate sector at 94,400 tenge and transport and communications sector at 75,500 tenge," the agency said.
The lowest salaries are in the agricultural and fishing sectors at 27,700 tenge and 24,000 tenge, respectively.
"The Atirau region has the highest average salaries at 115,100 tenge.
