The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Austria in 2008 amounted to 57 million euros, the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) President Rahim Huseynov said at the Baku-Austrian business forum.
"There trade turnover between the two countries is not so high. We hold these arrangements in order to develop the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Austria," he said.
The import from Austria amounted to two million euro and export - 55 million euro. Azerbaijan mainly exports diesel products and imports technological production equipment.
The business forum is being held in the framework of the Styria Province Federal Parliament Chairman Siegfried Shrittvizer's visit to the country. Shrittvizer is accompanied by a business delegation comprising of 10 companies specializing in transportation, construction, consulting services, production of household appliances.
