Over five months of this year, nearly 2698.6 million manat was invested in the economy of Azerbaijan, an increase of 0.4 percent from the figures of the previous year. According to the data provided by the State Statistics Committee, private enterprises and organizations invested 865.3 million manat (32.1% of total investments) in Azerbaijan's economy and public enterprises and organizations - 1833.3 million manat (67.9%).
Investments for repair and construction works increased 21 percent to 1870.7 million manat. Investment for the construction of production facilities totaled 2136.8 million manat, while non-production facilities totaled 561.8 million manat.
Foreign investments with special weight of 17.2% amounted to 463.9 million manat. Internal investments with special weight 82.8% totaled 2234.7 million manat.
Internal investments increased by 29.8%, while foreign investments reduced by 52%. Majority of internal investments (78.3%) fell to state enterprises and organizations and only 21.7% - to private enterprises.
Investments in the oil sector made up 27.5% of capital investments to country's economy (741mln manat), non-oil sector - 72.5% (1957.6mln manat), which is 31.9% more than the 2008 figure.
So, 38.8 percent of investments fell on industrial sphere, 3.7 percent - agriculture, 2.2 percent - trade and services, 1 percent - construction, 32.1 percent - transport, 1.2 percent - communication, 1.7 percent - health care, 1.2 percent - education, 10.1 percent - operations with real estate (7.1 percent - housing), 3.5 percent - other spheres.
Some 1082.9mln manat was invested in the construction of the facilities being financed by 2009 Public budget (23%).
The investments by the enterprises and organizations amounted to 1136.2 million manat (42.1 percent of total investments), bank credit - 122.4 million manat (4.6 percent), the budget - 1153.1 million manat (42.7 percent), of off-budgetary funds - 195.3 million manat (7.2 percent), community funds - 91.5 million manat (3.4 percent), and other funds - 0.1 million manat.
On June 16, the official exchange rate is 0.8039 manat to $1.
