Azerbaijan to partake 42nd meeting of CIS Economic Council

The 42nd session of the Economic Council of the Commonwealth of the Independent States will take place in Chisinau on June 19. Azerbaijani Ambassador to Moldova Isfandar Vahabzade will represent the country at the session.
Traditionally the sessions are held in Moscow.
Partaking in the session will be the delegations from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan and Ukraine consisting of deputy heads of government, economy ministers and their deputies.
The agenda embraces 14 items. Among the most important are the CIS cooperation in developing the international transport corridors, elaborating the rules to determine the country of origin of goods within the CIS, the use of power lines and cooperation between the national electric systems.
The CIS Economic Council has an objective right to coordinate the CIS cooperation in the social and economic area and secure the implementation of the agreements on setting up free economic zones within the Commonwealth.
The session will be chaired by First Vice Premier, Minister of Economics and Trade of Moldova Igor Dodon.
