Number of certified appraisers increases in Azerbaijan

Other four brokers passed the second stage of certification of appraisal activity, appraisal society executive director Elchin Samedli said on June 22.

"Roughly 12 people were permitted for the exam," Samedli said.

Roughly 15 people participated in courses held before exam, he said. So, number of certified brokers hits 7 people given results of the first exam in Azerbaijan.

Three brokers passed the first stage of appraisal certification. Elchin Samedli (appraisal company Bilender), Anver Samigulin (Azintelectservis) and Nusret Ibrahimov (MBA Group) got certificates on rendering qualitative appraisal services. 

Executive director of the society said that the third exam on certification of appraisers is planned to be held late September-early October. Innovation of the third exam will be passing of exam at the Azerbaijani language and entry of current supervision commission to entrance one.

"Transfer to the Azerbaijani language is connected with poor knowledge of the Russian language for several appraisers to participate in the exam," Samedli said.

The exam is held within the program of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) supported by initial mortgage market in Central Asia and Azerbaijan together with the international appraisal center and Azerbaijani appraisers' society.

Appraisal activity is regulated by the law Appraisal activity adopted in Azerbaijan in 1995.
