A delegation of the MasterCard international payment system will visit Baku on June 23, Head of Milli Kart processing centre Jalal Orujov said on June 22.
"The delegation comprises five people with high positions in MasterCard's regional offices, including Turkish and Belgian," Orujov said. "They will hold private meetings with some head of local banks which are members of the system," Orujov said.
Besides, a general meeting will be held for all member-banks of the payment system on June 23, he said.
MasterCard Worldwide is the international payment system which unites 22,000 financial institutions in 210 countries.
MasterCard International's business-interests focus on five regions: Asian-Pacific region; North American region; European, Middle East and African region; Latin-American region; Caribbean region.
A total number of active cards in Azerbaijan on all international payment systems amounted to 3.74 million cards as for April 1 compared to 3.626 million in 2008.
