Azerbaijani scientists to participate in international conference on agriculture in Astana

International consultation conference Crop succession and zero processing of soil - basis of political support of resource saving agriculture for stabile intensive production will be held in Kazakh settlement of Shortandy (50 kilometers of Astana), press-service of the Kazakh ministry of agriculture said.

"Scientists and production workers of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Turkey and Russia will arrive to participate in the conference," the ministry said. 

U.S scientists, professor of Ohio state university, ex-president of U.S soil scientist society, director of carbon sequestration center Rattan Lal and professor of Washington state university, author of numerous books on dry farming were invited as major speakers.

Coordinator of UN food and agricultural organization's sub-regional office on Central Asia Moustafa Sinaser, ex-president of the international research organization on soil processing, doctor Engin Chakir from Turkish university of Ege are expected to participate in the conference.
