One of Europe's giant financial institutions - Italian UniCredit which is the parent organization of the Turkish Yapi Kredi Bank is ready to represent the European investors' interests on the Azerbaijani securities market, Chairman of the State Committee on Securities (SCS) Rufat Aslanli said.
Yapi Kredi is represented in Azerbaijan with its subsidiary Yapi Kredi Bank Azerbaijan.
Stakes of the Turkish Yapi Kredi Bankasi were handed over to Koc Group (Turkey) and UniCredit Group (current beneficiary of the International Moscow Bank; leader amongst international banking groups on the Central and East European markets).
Formally, the Turkish bank was purchased by Koc (joint venture with Koc and UniCredit groups with 50-50 stakes).
