Azerbaijan, Baku, July 10 / Trend , U. Ismayilova/

An average price per one square meter of housing dropped by 2.4 percent to $947 at the primary market in Baku in June compared to $970 in May, the Participants of Estate Market public union said.

"Unlike before the last month, in June, a decline was observed in the prices of relatively expensive apartments," the report says.

The experts of the organization believe that the situation in the market is linked with the fact that despite the global financial crisis, some construction companies re-considers price policy in connection with the summer season.

The average area of apartments in new buildings of Baku in June fell 1.1 percent to 122.4 square meters.

Last month, the construction of 173 buildings was continued by 484 construction companies compared to 455 buildings and 168 companies in May. In June, also was laid the foundation of 18 new buildings.
