Premiums of one of the biggest Azerbaijani insurance companies - AzSigorta hit 5.56 million manat as a result of the first six months while paying 1.95 million manat, deputy chairman of company's board Khayal Mammadkhanli said on July 14.
Premiums of AzSigorta hit 4.73 million manat while paying 0.87 million manat within similar period of 2008.
Roughly 5.37 million manat fell on voluntary kinds of insurance, including payments on property insurance - 1.66 million manat, freights - 1.31 million manat, transport vehicles - over 889,000 manat, CASCO - over 807,000 manat but 279,560 manat on obligatory kinds.
Roughly 1.91 million manat fell on voluntary kinds of insurance, 34,360 manat - on obligatory. Most part of payments on obligatory kinds of insurance is payments on property insurance - 1.31 million manat, CASCO - over 348,000 manat, insurance of plants - 45,100 manat.
AzSigorta insurance company renders 28 kinds of insurance services, three of them - obligatory. The company has been operating since November 2006.
On July 14, the official exchange rate is 0.8043 manat to $1.
