500kg more expired products removed from sale in Azerbaijan

The State Supervision Service on Consumer market at the Azerbaijani Economic Development Ministry removed roughly 500 kilogram of the expired products from retail sale points during the monitoring, the ministry said.

The State Supervision Service on Consumer market at the Azerbaijani Economic Development Ministry removed roughly 500 kilogram of the expired products from retail sale points during the monitoring, the ministry said.

Monitoring carried out in the Binagadi and Surakhani districts of Baku, as well as in the Guba, Ganja and Gakh regions of Azerbaijan. The expired food products include sausages, confectionery products, vegetable oils, natural juices, beer, milk and milk products, mayonnaise, and more.

Protocols on administrative violations have been complied on one enterprise and 14 individuals.

Generally, after the Azerbaijani president's decree on amendments and supplements to the Code of Administrative Violations, dated May 17, 34 enterprises have been fined worth 132,500 manats and 181 individuals - 272,000 manats.
