Azerbaijan reveals next violations of consumers' rights

The State Supervision Service on Consumer market at the Azerbaijani Economic Development Ministry removed roughly 700 kilogram of the expired products from retail sale points during the monitoring, the ministry said on July 20.

The State Supervision Service on Consumer market at the Azerbaijani Economic Development Ministry removed roughly 700 kilogram of the expired products from retail sale points during the monitoring, the ministry said on July 20.

Monitoring carried out in the Sabunchu, Binagadi and Nizami districts of Baku, as well as in the Jalilabad region of Azerbaijan.

The expired food products include sausages, confectionery products, vegetable oils, natural juices, milk and milk products, mayonnaise, and more.

Monitoring did not reveal any violations of consumers' rights at one of sale points in the Binagadi district of Baku.

Generally, after the Azerbaijani president's decree on amendments and supplements to the Code of Administrative Violations, dated May 17, 35 enterprises have been fined worth 136,500 manats and 189 individuals - 284,000 manats.

Monitoring continues.

On July 20, the official exchange rate is 0.8041 manat to $1.
