The Asian Development Bank (ADB) undertakes to allocate 300 million lari to finance projects in Georgia, vice-president of the bank Xiaoyu Zhao said during setting up of permanent representation of the bank in Tbilisi.

Georgian minister of finance Kakha Baindurashvili said that many projects, including water and gas supply, will be financed.

Zhao stressed that permanent representation promotes closing of countries and implementation of rather interesting plans in future.

"We are ready to cooperate both with state agencies and private sector. We think that these relations have a good prospective," Zhao said.

Georgia joined ADB in 2009 and became the 67-th member. Recently, ADB supported allocation of preferential loan to the amount of $200 million to Georgia and Armenia. Georgia will get $80 million from this sum to realize two projects.
