One of the giant insurance companies in Azerbaijan Az Sigorta will hold conferences in most regions of the country to agitate insurance in September, Azerbaijan Sigorta managing board chairman Khayal Mammadkhanli said.
Local authorities, entrepreneurs and students will take part in the conference, Mammadkhanli said.
These conferences' aim to agitate insurance and enlighten rural population engaged in agrarian activities about importance of insurance in connection with high level of risk in this sphere, Mammadkhanli added.
Agrarian insurance has a high potential in Azerbaijan and it should be used, Mammadkhanli said.
Az Sigorta insurance operates in the market since November 2006. At present the company has eight branches, as well as some 40 regional offices in the country's regions. Az Sigorta offers 28 kinds of insurance services, three of which are mandatory.
In January to June, Az Sigorta collected 5.56 million manat in premiums, with 1.95 million of payments.
On July 24, the official exchange rate is 0.8042 manat to $1.
