A new chairman and board members of the Azerbaijan Microfinance Organizations Association (AMOA) have been elected, the association reported on July 30.
"Yesterday, the board of the association held a meeting, which elected a new chairman and two members of the board," the association said.
Kamran Abdullayev (Finca) was elected the current chairman of the association and two new board members were Samir Jafarli (VF Azercredit) and Rufat Ismaylov (Access Bank).
Former chairman Vusal Eynullaev (Cred Agro) and members Ella Bivers (Finca) and Bahman Asgarov (Normicro) resigned.
The board of the Association is composed of four members and the chairman of the board, two board members are Suleyman Kalashov (Agrarcredit) and Jalal Aliyev (Finance for development) continue to remain in their post.
Some 14 of 18 microfinance institutions operating in the country are members of the AMOA. Today, AMOA has 26 members (including 11 banks).
