The Azerbaijani Chamber of Auditors in December will hold regular examinations for persons applying for the auditor position, said Vahid Novruzov, the head of the Chamber.
"The Chamber of Auditors has already announced examinations and are now receiving applications," said Novruzov.
He said about 50 enterprises and 50 individuals are currently engaged in the auditor activity in Azerbaijan.
The last examination for auditor candidates was conducted in September 2008.
The Azerbaijani Chamber of Auditors was established in September 1995 and launched its activity in April 1996. This activity is regulated by the Law on "Audit Activity", adopted on Sept. 16, 1994. The amendments were injected into the law in 1996, 2001, 2002, 2004, and 2005.
