Premiums of one of Azerbaijan's giant insurance companies, Atesgah amount to over 10 million manat in January-September, said Chairman of the Board Azar Aliyev. Payments of the company made up over three million manat in this period.
He said premiums of the company are less in January-September 2009 compared to the came period of 2008. But Aliyev believes that "this is normal, because the company outlined a plan for taxes by late 2009 at12 million manat compared to 15 million manat in 2008.
"I believe we will fulfill the plan by late 2009," said Aliyev, who this week has been elected the chairman of the Azerbaijan Insurers Association.
The head of the company said that Atesgah expects to get a profit worth $600,000 manat this year, which will be spent to increase the share capital.
Atesgah Sigorta Insurance Company was founded in 1996. Its shareholders are I.S.R. Holding Ltd (49 percent of shares), SOCAR (30 percent), and RAN-Eksim (21 percent).
