Mazandaran inks MOUs with Belarus

A commercial and industrial delegation from Mazandaran province, north of Iran, has inked six memorandums of understanding with the Belarusian government to develop trade ties.

The exportation of one million tons of citrus fruits to Belarus was one of the MOUs, the Islamic Republic of Iran News Network quoted Mazandaran governor general as saying on Monday.

Mohammad Karimi further told IRINN that in addition to citrus fruits, decorative plants and flowers, foodstuff, dried fruits, coal, and technical expertise will be exported from Mazandaran to Belarus, and in return, wheat, fishery equipment, agricultural implements, and road building machinery will be imported.

The establishment of a sponge iron production plant in the Mazandaran province''s Amirabad port was another MOU, he said.
