The next meeting of the Azerbaijani Society of Appraisers dedicated to the results of three quarters of 2009 and plans for 2010 will be held today, the executive director of the society Elchin Samedli said today.
"Special attention will be paid to discussion of the draft regulations on certification of appraisers and changes in the executive committee of the society," Samedli said.
He said that members of the society also intend to determine the date of the regular courses for certification and other issues.
The first certification of appraisers was conducted in Azerbaijan in March, the second one - in June. At present, there are seven certified professional appraisers.
The examinations were carried out within the framework of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) for the development of primary mortgage market in Azerbaijan and Central Asia with the International Center for evaluation and the Azerbaijani Society of Appraisers.
Evaluation activity in the Republic is governed by the law "Evaluation activity", adopted in 1995.
