The global economic crisis has not affected the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway's construction, said Azerbaijani Vice Prime Minister Abid Sharifov today.
"The railway's construction is financed by the State Oil Fund of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOFAZ), which laid down exact numbers and there is no question of instability," Sharifov said.
The Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway will be put into operation in 2013.
