Belarusian businessmen to study Georgian business environment

Belarusian businessmen will study the Georgian business environment. The Georgian-Belarusian business forum was organized by the Economy Ministry's National Investment Agency and Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Tbilisi.
"This meeting is a continuation of our cooperation," the chamber's President Jemal Inaishvili said. "The first forum was held in Minsk in 2009. The Belarusian delegation is fairly representative. They have specific proposals and initiatives. Visitors interested in joint ventures and manufacturing products, as well as the free economic zone and its existing conditions, export and imports."
According to Deputy Economic Development Minister Zurab Alavidze, the Belarusian businessmen are particularly interested in agriculture and industry.
"The delegation includes representatives of the energy business," he said.
Belarusian Chamber of Commerce Chairman Vasili Romanov said the meeting had so far been exploratory in nature.
"We are interested in the Georgian economic platform," he said, noting that the implementation of specific projects will begin after bilateral meetings between the businessmen.
The Belarusian businessmen will stay in Tbilisi two days and also will visit Poti.
