A mission of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) led by Senior Project Manager Wolfgang Gruber is in Baku to assess the state of the Hajigabul-Kurdamir Highway. Construction ended in 2007, the EBRD Office in Baku said today.
The total construction cost of the 85-kilometer section of the road was $46.6 million - $41 million was financed by an EBRD loan.
"The mission is to ensure the road quality is being preserved two years after the project," he said.
The project aimed to assist road reconstruction.
According to the EBRD's mandate supporting countries in transition, the project evaluation is held at different stages of implementation, the office said.
