Iran to attend FAO meeting
Iranian Agricultural Jihad Minister, Sadeq Khalilian is heading to Rome tomorrow to attend the 36th Food and Agriculture Organization Conference.
The FAO is a UN body and the 36th FAO Conference will be held on November 18-23 in Rome, Italy, the Mehr News Agency reported.
The FAO is a specialized agency that leads international efforts to defeat hunger. Serving both developed and developing countries, FAO acts as a neutral forum where all nations meet as equals to negotiate agreements and debate policy.
FAO is also a source of knowledge and information, and helps developing countries in transition to modernize and improve agriculture, forestry and fisheries practices, facilitating good nutrition and food security for all.
