The State Supervision Service on Consumer market at the Azerbaijani Economic Development Ministry removed over 330 kilogram of the expired products from retail sale points during the monitoring, the ministry said.

Monitoring carried out in the Khatai and Nizami districts of Baku, as well as Ganja, Davachi and Sumgayit regions of Azerbaijan. The expired food products include sausages, confectionery products, vegetable oils, natural juices, beer, milk and milk products, mayonnaise, and more

Protocols on administrative violations have been complied on enterprises and individuals.

The State Supervision Service on Consumer market recommends consumers to pay attention to expiry dates and labels of products.

Generally, after the Azerbaijani president's decree on amendments and supplements to the Code of Administrative Violations, dated May 17, 57 enterprises have been fined worth 215,200 manats and 614 individuals - 917,800 manats.
