The Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers approved the form and content of the document confirming the results of reconstruction or restructuring of living area.
The decision was made to execute the Azerbaijani President's decree on the implementation of the law to approve 'Azerbaijani Housing Code'.
The decree has come into force since the date of signing - December 1, 2009.
The Housing Code envisages rules for state control over the country's housing fund, property insurance, the procedure for registration of a residential area into a non-residential one and vice versa, as well as denial from it. The Code also defines the rights and obligations of the owners of the property, rights of other people living in the owner's house, the rules for determining the individual rights to common property, boundaries and share in the right to ownership of the apartment buildings.
The need to adopt the code is that the housing fund of the country has recently increased fivefold. Housing relations and form of ownership became diverse. At present, there are public, private, cooperative, municipal forms of property.
