The Azerbaijani Transport Ministry and the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) have signed a protocol to start negotiations on developing a feasibility study on a project to build a bridge over the Baku Bay, the ministry reported.
The project aims to improve Baku's transport infrastructure, and increase the ability of Azerbaijani experts at the expense of Korean experience in marine bridge and road construction.
KOICA has allocated about $1.6 million to developing the feasibility study. According to preliminary estimates, the cost of the bridge will exceed $1 billion.
