Azerbaijan, Baku, December 18 / Trend , U.Ismayilova /

During the talks held in Baku with the delegation of the Astrakhan oblast of Russia, an agreement was made on the principle to open a ferry line to transport cars with ships, the Vice Governor, Chairman of the Government of the Astrakhan oblast, Konstantin Markelov, said in Baku on Dec. 18.

"There are technical issues associated with the work on formation of cargos," said Markelov.
Caspian ferry line already existed between Azerbaijan and Russia in 2006, which connected the port of Olya with Baku.

The representatives of the Astrakhan region said that in the future it is possible to open a railway ferry. However, this requires creating transport infrastructure in Russia's port of Olya.
