Azerbaijan's Cabinet of Ministers approved the amendments to Decision on Approval of the Criterion of Small Business Entity Definition on Types of Economic Activity, the Cabinet of Ministers said. The Cabinet reports that the Decision was issued for the purpose of implementation of the Law on State Support of Small Business.

Criterion of quantity of employees during one year is taken as basis for business entities. Criterion of annual turnover is applied towards employers operating without registration as a legal entity, in order to define an individual as a small entrepreneur.
