Tbilisi sells tickets for flights to Moscow

Tbilisi relevant agencies have begun selling tickets for the first direct charter flight to Moscow Dec. 26

Airzena - Georgian Airlines submitted an official appeal to Russia to resume direct flights between the two countries.

Russian aviation authorities have sent verbal confirmation to the company. However, the company did not receive an official reply and therefore did not launch selling tickets.

Meanwhile, the agencies sold tickets for Dec. 28, 29 and 30. The ticket costs about $350

The Russian president has stated about possible resumption of flights.

Direct flights between the countries was stopped Aug. 9, 2008 after the war broke out in South Ossetia
