President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad left Tehran for the southern province of Hormuzgan on Saturday to inaugurate country’s largest aluminum project of Hormuz-Al in Bandar Abbas.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad left Tehran for the southern province of Hormuzgan on Saturday to inaugurate country's largest aluminum project of Hormuz-Al in Bandar Abbas, IRNA reported

During the one-day stay in Bandar Abbas, senior Advisor to Ahmadinejad Mojtaba Samareh Hashemi and Minister of Industries and Mines Ali-Akbar Mehrabian are accompanying the president.

The Hormuz-Al aluminum factory plan cost 400 million euros of foreign investment as well as 2,000 billion rials of domestic one.

The production capacity of the factory is 147,000 tons.

The country's major aluminum project would provide direct employment of 700 people and indirect one of 7,000.
