Rate of national currency remain stable: BICE President

The rate of the manat in relevant to the world leading currencies remain stable, Baku Interbank Currency Exchange president Farhad Amirbeyov said

Rate of manat in relevant to U.S. dollar remains practically stable, varying by 1-2 points, to euro sustains more changes, which is also displayed by the CBA's official rate, Amirbekov said.

As of Jan.11-12, the official rate of manat to $1 hit 0.8029, exchange rate of manat to $1 is 0.8033 Jan 12 and 0.8036 Jan. 11. As of Jan.12 the official rate of manat to euro hit 1.1629 (exchange rate 1.1624 manat to euro).

Despite Azerbaijan could maintain stability of rate, Moscow Interbank Stock Exchange (MISE) observed intense growth of ruble and decline of dollar and Euro in Russia in early 2010. Ruble has sharply strengthened (the indicator, including $ 0.55 and EUR 0,45) as of Jan 11.The currency basket fell to 35.55 rubles in the first minutes, or about 65 cents to the level of the previous trading day end.

"The growth rate of the ruble on the MISE has not affected the rate of manat, which continues to remain fairly stable in relevant to Russia's currency," Amirbeyov said

According to the CBA, as of Jan.12 rate of ruble to manat hit 0.0274 compared to 0.0269 as of Jan. 11. According to the BISE, as of Jan.12 rate of ruble to manat hit 0.0274 compared to 0.0269 as of Jan.11
