The Ports and Marine director of Bushehr stated that for the first time in the history of this port a 3000 TEU container ship docked in it on Wednesday.
The Mehr News Agency quoted Mohammad Rastad as saying that Hansa India is 243 meters long and 32 meters wide and is the second-largest ship ever entering this port and holds the highest number of containers among ships landing in Bushehr.
Hansa India has been hired by Germany and is registered in Hamburg.
The official said that after implementing development projects in Bushehr in the past 4 years this port now has the necessary infrastructure to handle large ships.
Rastad pointed out that this port is close to markets in Fars and Isfahan and in this regard it has absolute competitive advantage compared to other ports.
