Prices on consumer goods and service tariffs increased by 1.5 percent in 2009. As of December, the index increased by 0.8 percent, the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee reported.
In December, foodstuffs prices increased 1.4 percent and non-foodstuff prices 0.2 percent, while service tariffs remained the same.
Foodstuff prices decreased by 1.5 percent and non-foodstuff prices increased by 3.4 percent, while service tariffs increased by 7.1 percent compared to 2008.
