Exploitation of cars inapplicable with Euro-1 and Euro-2 norms can be banned in Azerbaijan

The standards are expected to be adopted in Azerbaijan in January-February. These standards will cover motor fuel sold on the domestic market and fleet, the State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patent Ramiz Hasanov said.

The standards are expected to be adopted in Azerbaijan in January-February. These standards will cover motor fuel sold on the domestic market and fleet, the State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patent Ramiz Hasanov said.

Hasanov said exploitation of cars inapplicable with Euro-1 and Euro-2 norms will be banned.

"But this process will be realized stage by stage," Hasanov said.

On Monday the State Committee spread the information containing the results of the monitoring of filling stations in Baku. Oil products inapplicable with current standards were revealed in 26 of 45 operating filling stations in Baku.
