Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad attended the opening ceremony of a steel plant producing sponge-iron in the city of Neyshabur in the Khorasan province today, Irna reported.
The plant can produce 550 tons per year and will manufacture various types of 10-45 mm in diameter valves and four-and hexagonal tubes. About $197 million and 65,000 euros were invested in the construction of the plant.
