The Central Iranian Oil Fields Company (CIOFC) plans to absorb $7 billion for development of the nation's central oil and gas fields by 2015 (the end of the fifth five-year socio-economic development plan), the company's managing director said here on Monday.
SHANA News Agency quoted Alireza Zeyghami as saying that under the plan the daily output of central oilfields will be raised to 500,000 barrels from the current figure of 160,000 barrels.
"The daily gas output is also expected to be raised to 500 million cubic meters by the mentioned date," he noted.
