The Poti free industrial zone will begin functioning on Aug. 1 in accordance with changes to the Georgia government's decree, dated April 14, 2009 on establishment of free industrial zone Poti.
Earlier, the industrial zone was announced to commission on Dec. 15, 2009.
In accordance with changes to decree, by March 31, 2010 owner of the zone, Rak Georgia, is to register with the government an agreement on mutual responsibilities, specified in the law on Establishment of free industrial zone, its construction and approval of rules on functioning.
Rak Georgia, which purchased the Poti Port, realizes the project on establishment of an industrial zone in Poti.
