A subsidiary of French National Railways (SNFS) - Siestra became the winner of the tender for development of feasibility study and design work on the modernization of the Georgian railway infrastructure.

A subsidiary of French National Railways (SNFS) - Siestra became the winner of the tender for development of feasibility study and design work on the modernization of the Georgian railway infrastructure.

Siestra Company won the tender among 25 companies, including companies from Germany, Spain, Japan, South Korea

Siestra will prepare a draft optimization of freight and passenger services, stations, depots and infrastructure, rolling stock of the Georgian railway. It is envisaged to reduce operating costs and risks, improve traffic safety and enhance the highway capacity

Siestra must submit a feasibility study for modernization of the Georgian Railway within three months. After that, the company can work over the project within nine months.
