Georgian traders go on strike in connection with new tax amendments

This morning traders from flea markets and supermarkets in the Tbilisi Railway Square went on strike, Trend special correspondent reported. Traders decided on this because of new tax changes, which came into force Feb.1.

Based on the new tax amendments, traders must have an invoice for all sold goods. If the invoice is not represented, for the first time the fine will be 1,000 lari (1.73 lari is $1) and then -10, 000 lari.
