Kazakhstan to export wheat to China from March

From March Kazakhstan will start to export wheat to China to the amount of 20,000 tons, Food Contract Corporation department on foreign economic activity director Daulet Uvashev said.

"China gave the green light for delivery of Kazakh grain to its domestic market. We will send 20,000 tons of wheat from March," Daulet Uvashev said.

According to him, Kazakh companies delivered the first trial batch of grain to this country worth  $ 7,000 tons in January.

"In general, it deals with supplies of our grain worth $150,000 tons by Food Contract Corporation", the representative of the grain company said.

He said the Chinese side intends to use Kazakhstan's grain as an improver, as our grain has 28 percent of gluten.

Uvashev said Kazakhstan's grain will be delivered to China by railway to the border.
