Anglo Asian Mining plc company, the only gold producer of Azerbaijan, produced 3,483 ounces of gold in January 2010, which is the highest level since the start of gold production from July 2009 at the Gedabek gold and copper mine of Azerbaijan, company reported.
"The company has produced 3,483 ounces, bringing the total production to 14,848 ounces," the company reported.
Anglo Asian Mining plc expects constancy in the growth of production in 2010. Thus, the Company expects that it will exceed its revised target volumes for the first 12 months of work until June 30, 2010, amounting to 25,000 ounces of gold, which will also benefit from raising gold prices.
The company has the right to develop six fields in the southwest of Azerbaijan - Gedabek, Ordubad, Gosha Bulag, Gizil Bulag, Vezhnali and Soyutlu based on the PSAs signed with Azerbaijani government in August 1997.
